I am requesting approval to purchase a 2023 Ford Expedition as a command vehicle to replace my 2015 Expedition. This is a planned capital purchase in the Fire Ad valorem Fund Account 200-2021-5100 at a budgeted $52,000. This vehicle is currently available through the State Purchasing Contract T191L at Stivers Ford in Montgomery at a total cost of $52,159. I am requesting an additional $5841 for emergency equipment and installation from Emergency Lighting by Haynes, for a total cost of $58,000. With other unused funds in this account, I am not requesting a budget increase at this time. The 2015 Expedition will be available for use by another City Department, and the IT Department has expressed interest.
