Gregg Knight resigned from the board due to his work schedule leaving a vacancy. Mr. Knight's term of office will expire on July 17, 2024.

WHEREAS, Gregg Knight resigned from the board due to his work schedule leaving a vacancy, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Knight’s term of office expires on July 17, 2024, and
WHEREAS, the State of Alabama Ethics Commission says that public officials/board members fall under the State Ethics Law, and therefore should have the opportunity to educate themselves regarding this law, and
WHEREAS, the Alabama Ethics Commission has developed an online video training of the Alabama Ethics Law, which can be accessed at their website at www.ethics.alabama.gov, and
WHEREAS, all newly appointed and reappointed board members must submit a copy of their training certification to the City of Foley as a condition to being appointed/reappointed to the boards.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Appoints Pamela Monroe to the Housing Authority Board beginning November 15, 2021 and expiring on July 17, 2024 based on the conditions that she submits a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
