Title

A Resolution to Reappoint Otis Gatlin and David Vosloh to the Fire Code Board of Appeals.

Summary

Mr. Gatlin and Mr. Vosloh's terms of office will expire on November 20, 2023. Their new terms will be from November 21, 2023 and will expire on November 22, 2027

 

Body

WHEREAS, the State of Alabama Ethics Commission says that public officials/board members fall under the State Ethics Law, and therefore should have the opportunity to educate themselves regarding this law, and

WHEREAS, the Alabama Ethics Commission has developed an online video training of the Alabama Ethics Law, which can be accessed at their website at www.ethics.alabama.gov, <http://www.ethics.alabama.gov,> and

WHEREAS, all newly appointed and reappointed board members must submit a copy of their training certification to the City of Foley as a condition to being appointed/reappointed to the boards.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

SECTION 1: Reappoints Otis Gatlin and David Vosloh to the Fire Code Board of Appeals beginning  on November 21, 2023 and ending on November 22, 2027 based on the conditions that they submit a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.

 

            SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
