Summary
Mr. Hinesley's and Mark Jones's term of office will expire on October 4, 2021. They are willing to serve another term of office.
Council Representative Dick Dayton's term as representative expires on September 30, 2021. Council Member Rick Blackwell is the next Council representative with a term of office from October 1, 2021 until September 30, 2022. Each term of office will be for one year. The dates of the terms will change to coincide with each election cycle.

WHEREAS, the State of Alabama Ethics Commission says that public officials/board members fall under the State Ethics Law, and therefore should have the opportunity to educate themselves regarding this law, and
WHEREAS, the Alabama Ethics Commission has recently developed an online video training of the Alabama Ethics Law, which can be accessed at their website at www.ethics.alabama.gov, <http://www.ethics.alabama.gov,> and
WHEREAS, all newly appointed and reappointed board members must submit a copy of their training certification to the City of Foley as a condition to being appointed/reappointed to the boards.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Reappoints Phillip Hinesley and Mark Jones to the Graham Creek Nature Preserve Advisory Board beginning October 5, 2021 and ending on October 6, 2024 based on the conditions that they submit a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.
SECTION 2: Appoints Council Member Rick Blackwell as Council Representative to the Graham Creek Nature Preserve Advisory Board beginning October 1, 2021 and ending on September 30, 2022.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
