Summary

Van Hubbard and the American Legion Post 99 has requested the use of Max Griffin Park at no charge on May 27, 2024  from 9:30am - 12:00pm for their Memorial Day Ceremony. They have requested that we provide the stage and sound system for them to use.  They will have speakers and a memorial for all fallen veterans. This event will be open to the public.

 

Body

WHEREAS, Van Hubbard and the American Legion Post 99 has requested the use of Max Griffin Park at no charge on May 27, 2024  from 9:30am - 12:00pm for their Memorial Day Ceremony, and

WHEREAS, they have requested that we provide the stage and sound system for them to use, and 

WHEREAS, they will have speakers and a memorial for all fallen veterans, and

WHEREAS, this event will be open to the public.

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

SECTION 1: Waives the fees for the use of Max Griffin Park requested by the Van Hubbard and the American Legion Post 99 on May 27, 2024 from 9:30am - 12:00pm for their Memorial Day Ceremony.

 

SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
