A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE INCREASE IN FY18-19 SPORTS TOURISM BUDGET

On April 22, 2018, we experience a tornado at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex. During this time, we experienced damage on several items including 3 6'X18' goals, 300 feet of fences, 5 trash cans, 4 player benches, wheel kit for a goal as well as damage to protective netting around the park. We received the insurance reimbursement check at the end of September for FY17-18 in the amount of $39,951.10. We have enough funds to cover the small tools/equipment; however, we would like to request an increase in our Park Maintenance account to repair the netting. The amount we are requesting is $35,000 to account 207-5042-6011.

WHEREAS, Foley Sports Tourism fields received damage from a tornado on April 22, 2018 and the City of Foley was reimbursed in late FY17/18, repairs were not budgeted and funds are needed for net repairs.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Appropriates additional funds in the amount of $35,000 to Account No. 207-5042-6011.
SECTION 2: Appropriates additional funds to the transfer accounts 100-8000-8010 & 207-1012-4810, in the amount of $35,000.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
