Summary
Foley Police Department is requesting to solicit bids for (8) 2024 Chevrolet Tahoes budgeted under FY2024 capital purchase account # 100-2010-5100 for vehicles. The Police Department has been unsuccessful in being able to locate available vehicles off the AL state bid and GSA contracts. Based on initial quotes, it is anticipated that the capital purchase budget account # 100-2010-5100 will need to be increased by $19,374.50 for a total vehicle budget of $469,374.50.

WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting to solicit bids for and purchase up to (8) 2024 Chevrolet Tahoes, and
WHEREAS, based on initial quotes, it is anticipated that the capital purchase budget will need to be increased by $19,374.50 for a total vehicle budget of $469,374.50.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the increase of the capital purchase budget account # 100-2010-5100 by $19,374.50 for a total vehicle budget of $469,374.50.
SECTION 2: Approves going to bid and purchasing up to (8) 2024 Chevrolet Tahoes not to exceed $469,374.50.
