Previously under 24-1208-RES, the City of Foley accepted the FEMA HMGP grant DR4563-003 to fund a First Responder Safe Room. The design has now been complete and the project is ready to go to bid. Council's permission is requested to move forward with the next steps of the project and staff will come back to Council for permission to award the contract.

WHEREAS, previously under 24-1208-RES, the City of Foley accepted the FEMA HMGP grant DR4563-003 to fund a First Responder Safe Room, and
WHEREAS, the design has now been complete and the project is ready to go to bid, and
WHEREAS, Council's permission is requested to move forward with the next steps of the project and staff will come back to Council for permission to award the contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves to go to bid for the construction of the First Responder Safe Room.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
