WHEREAS, all municipalities have the authority to abate weeds under Sections 11-67-60 through 11-67-67, Code of Alabama 1975, and
WHEREAS, in reporting abatement costs, Section 11-67-26 of the Code of Alabama 1975, under Article 2 Abatement of Weeds in Class 5, Class 6 or Class 8 Municipalities, provides that the municipality must keep an account of the cost for abating or removing the nuisance but does not state what expenses can be included in the report such as total wages paid, value of the use of equipment used, advertising expenses, postage, and materials purchased, which were incurred by the municipality as a result of th...
