Request approval for purchase of security upgrades to electronic door system at Fire Station 1 from Two-Way Communications, Inc. for $7800.00 including parts and labor. This upgrade will provide for electronic controlled access to areas of Fire Station 1 that are not considered general public areas. This upgrade will also allow for future expansion of controlled access to the planned safe-room area to be constructed in Fire St.1.

WHEREAS, there is a need for security upgrades at Fire Station 1 in order to provide safety and security for personnel and equipment in the building 24/7, and
WHEREAS, these upgrades will also allow for future expansion of controlled access to the planned safe-room area to be constructed in Fire St.1, and
WHEREAS, security upgrades to the electronic door system at Fire Station 1 is a budgeted item for $10,000 in the FY13 budget in account 01-609-7010,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase of parts and labor for security upgrades from Two-Way Communications, Inc. for $7800.00.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
