At the time of budget each year, Human Resources estimates pay grades on all new requested positions. This is standard operating procedure until the position(s) are approved by Council at which time HR will then conduct the job analysis and market surveys to confirm the estimated pay grades are on target with the market and with the job skills of the position. On the Building Maintenance Crew Leader for Sports Tourism, when HR completed the JAT and conducted the market surveys, it was found that this position's estimated grade was estimated a bit low. Therefore, we are requesting to raise the position pay grade from a G-90 to a G-110 which is an annual increase of $3,559 at the minimum of this pay grade. This action is budget neutral as the department has sufficient funds to absorb the increase (which is less than $2k for the remainder of the fiscal year).
