There is a need to create an additional full-time, regular position in the Horticulture Department to coordinate and perform streetscape landscaping and maintenance duties in the downtown area to consolidate the work in this area and to improve the consistent and overall aesthetics of the downtown area.

Body

WHEREAS, there is a need to create an additional full-time, regular position in the Horticulture Department to coordinate and perform streetscape landscaping and maintenance duties in the downtown area to consolidate the work in this area and to improve the consistent and overall aesthetics of the downtown area, and
WHEREAS, a preliminary job description has been completed and is attached to this resolution with an estimated pay grade of Grade 9. The job grade will be confirmed by the City’s contracted job analysts upon completion of the job analysis survey, and
WHEREAS, there is a need to place employee #01-0593 is this new, vacant position, and
WHEREAS, there are adequate funds available in this year’s budget to accommodate the new position using a transfer of funds from the Municipal Complex department to the Horticulture department, and
WHEREAS, there will need to be an allocation of funds to support this position in the new FY14 budget.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
