A Resolution Amending City FY2023 Budgets
Summary
A resolution prepared by the Finance Department to amend various operation accounts and transfer accounts for unexpected events that occurred during the year.
Body
WHEREAS, there is a need to make amendments to the budgets of various City Funds.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama as follows:
SECTION 1: Increase in the amount of $134,434 to account 100-9200-6998 Miscellaneous One Time expense for sales tax refunds from previous years.
SECTION 2: Increase in the amount of $77,910 to account 100-9200-4703 Insurance proceeds Hurricane Sally and $458,811 to account 100-9200-4200 State Hurricane Sally.
SECTION 3: Increase in the amount of $700,000 to account 100-1012-4601 Interest Earnings (Loss).
SECTION 4: Increase in the amount of $250 to account 100-5000-6000 Utilities Armory and $500 to account 100-5000-6010 Building Maintenance.
SECTION 5: Amends the budgets for the departmental personnel accounts per the attached document.
SECTION 6: Increase in the amount of $4,197,442 to accounts 100-1012-4833 Transfer from USDA Relending Program and 308-8000-8000 Transfer to the General Fund for bond proceeds applied to projects during the year.
SECTION 7: Amends the budgets for the following accounts user fee transfer and grant accounts.
• 100-1012-4817 increase of $59,161
• 100-1012-4818 increase of $4,000
• 100-1012-4819 increase of $234,000
• 100-1012-4834 increase of $14,500
• 100-6010-6205 increase of $2,000
• 100-6010-6206 increase of $5,603
• 100-6010-6208 increase of $234,000
SECTION 8: Increase in the amount of $115,619 to account 100-1012-4714 Opioid Settlement for unbudgeted settlement proceeds received.
SECTION 9: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
