A Resolution Approving the Upgrade of the Foley Kids' Park and applying for Gametime's Matching Funds Grant
Summary
The purpose of this project is to renovate our existing Kids' Park Playground which is in need of an upgrade. The new park will be more inclusive to support all children in our community. The community voted on layouts and selected the nature themed park options. The total for the equipment and installation is $700,000 and will provide us with matching grant funds from Gametime in the amount of $179,596.71 for the larger play structures. We are requesting an additional $50,000 to cover demolition, grading work, and fencing around the completed park as well as contingency funds. Over 2,500 votes were submitted and the results were 63% for Nature theme versus 37% for Farming theme.
