WHEREAS, Resolution 13-0299 approved an application to the Project Safe Neighborhoods/Anti-Gang Initiative Grant for $7,861.67 for specific equipment to further the initiative to reduce gun and gang violence in the community, and
WHEREAS, the City has been awarded the grant for $7,861.67.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1:      Accepts the Project Safe Neighborhoods/Anti-Gang Initiative Grant in the amount of $7,861.67 for specific equipment to further the initiative to reduce gun and gang violence in the community. There is no City match required.
SECTION 2:      Approves the purchase of equipment from AMTEC Less-Lethal Systems for $7,861.67 and amends the FY13 Budget as follows: Police Capital Purchases Account 01-608-7010, $3,879.72, Police Supplies 01-608-5020 $3,981.95, and PSN/Anti-Gang Initiative Revenue Account 01-4962, $7,861.67.
SECTION 3:      This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
