Bids were publicly opened December 18, 2024 with Del Con, LLC Construction being the lowest responsible bidder in the amount of $1,880,000.00. Paul Carpenter Davis Architecture, PC recommends awarding the project to Del Con LLC.
Previously, Resolution 23-1303 approved Paul Carpenter Davis Architecture, PC to develop the conceptual plans in the amount of $4,750.00.
Resolution 24-1103 approved Paul Carpenter Davis Architecture, PC to create, design, development and construction plans in the amount of $120,000 and any engineering work if needed of $30,000, which has not been utilized. This will keep us in the planned budgeted amount.

WHEREAS, Sealed bids were publicly opened on December 18, 2024 for the City of Foley Armory Renovations, and
WHEREAS, Del Con LLC was the lowest responsible bidder in the amount of $1,880,000.00,
WHEREAS, Paul Carpenter Davis Architecture, PC recommends awarding the bid to Del Con LLC.,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Awards the bid to Del Con LLC who was the lowest responsible bidder for the Armory Renovations in the amount of $1,880,000.00 and authorizes the Mayor to sign the contract.
SECTION 2: Appropriates funds in the amount of $1,850,000.00 under Account No. 400-5000-5100 Armory Renovations.
