A Resolution Accepting the Results of an Annexation Election - Mills Community

WHEREAS, the Baldwin County Judge of Probate held an election on August 22, 2023 as a result of the Alabama Legislative process on behalf of the residents in the area described in the attached decree, and
WHEREAS, the Judge of Probate declared the vote was 44 for annexation and 19 against annexation, thus the results are a majority vote for annexation.
WHEREAS, the Citizens of the mills community voted and the Judge of Probate's election results are as follows:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the Baldwin County Judge of Probate's election results and certification as set forth in the attached decree.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
