Summary

Andre Overstreet and Isaac Stooksberry with Big Fish Ministries, Inc has requested the use of Heritage Park and Pavilion at no charge on August 31, 2023  from 2:00pm - 9:00pm for a community Drug Overdose Awareness Day. The purpose is to raise awareness about overdosing and help bring healing to family members who have experienced this tragedy.  They are planning to have food trucks, guest speakers, live music performed by the Redemption Church Worship Team, kids activities (possibly a bouncer) and a memorial wall for healing. They are expecting 100-200 people to attend.

 

Body

WHEREAS, Andrea Overstreet and Isaac Stooksberry with Big Fish Ministries, Inc has requested the use of Heritage Park and Pavilion at no charge on August 31, 2023  from 2:00pm - 9:00pm for a community Drug Overdose Awareness Day, and

WHEREAS, the purpose is to raise awareness about overdosing and help bring healing to family members who have experienced this tragedy, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

SECTION 1: Waives the fees for the use of Heritage Park and Pavilion requested by Andrea Overstreet and Isaac Stooksberry with Big Fish Ministries, Inc has requested the use of Heritage Park and Pavilion at no charge on August 31, 2023  from 2:00pm - 9:00pm for a community Drug Overdose Awareness Day.

SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
