Summary
To better serve the citizens of Foley , Street - Construction requests to purchase a new 2022 John Deere 324L Compact Loader for $113,850 from Beard Equipment through Sourcewell Contract# 032515-JDC under Account #100-3011-5100 It was included in the FY22 Budget under account# 100-3011-5100 for $125,000 as Backhoe. it will be a replacement for #3011080 (07080) 2004 Komatsu WB140 Backhoe (Purch 02/27/04). It is worn out and costing too much in repairs. We will surplus it when we are ready to dispose of it.
As the City continues to grow, new construction equipment is needed to cover/monitor/repair/build streets & ditches and to install/repair culverts which also increases with the growth.
