WHEREAS, the Street Department has budgeted $125,000 for a new Backhoe/Loader in account #01-607-7010, and,
WHEREAS, the State of Alabama Department of Examiners of Public Accounts has approved the purchase of items bid by the National IPA, and,
WHEREAS, Thompson Tractor Company has been awarded a contract by National IPA which includes the backhoe/loader needed by the Street Department.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase of one (1) 2014 Caterpillar 420F Backhoe/Loader as budgeted utilizing Caterpillar's National IPA contract (Contract #120377) from Thompson Tractor Company in the amount of $112,927.00
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
