Summary
DESCRIPTION OF TOPIC: Requesting release of Capital Funds to purchase One enclosed Trailer for use by the Criminal Investigation Division. This will allow for crime scene processing equipment and supplies to be readily available at any time. This unit will also serve as a portable interview space used at crimes scenes also. This unit will also provide a secure place to keep the specialized crime scene equipment used in processing different scenes. It being a trailer will allow easy mobility of moving heavy items such as lighting and other equipment. We are requesting permission to purchase this trailer from Port City Trailers as they were the lowest quote received, in the amount of $2,195.00. With a balance of $7,805.00 remaining we are requesting $4,500.00 be made available to purchase and install the necessary racks and cabinets and purchase power supply for use in remote areas. We will follow normal purchasing policy in regards to this additional purchasing.
