A Resolution Approving Application For The State and Local Government Financial Wellness Grants Program
Body
WHEREAS, the Center for State and Local Government Excellence, the International Public Management Association for Human Resources, the National Association of State Treasurers' Foundation, and the Wells Fargo & Company have collaborated to offer the State and Local Government Financial Wellness Grants Program, and
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Division requests permission to apply for the State and Local Government Financial Wellness Grants Program, and
WHEREAS, applications are being accepted until July 15, 2020, and
WHEREAS, if approved, the funds would be used to offer additional financial wellness benefits to City of Foley employees, and
WHEREAS, the City of Foley is eligible for up to $25,000 of funding with no match through this one year, non-renewable initiative, and
WHEREAS, grant awards are to be announced on (or before) September, 14, 2020.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the Human Resources Division to apply for the State and Local Government Financial Wellness Grants Program.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
