Whereas, the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation has requested the use of Heritage Park and Pavilion at no charge on Thursday, March 7, 2024 - Saturday, March 9, 2024 for their BBQ & Blues Cook-off fundraising event, and
Whereas, the Chamber will set up for the event on Thursday, March 7, 2024. They will have an event Friday, March 8, 2024 from 7am - 9pm and the main event will be Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 10am - 5pm, and
Whereas, the Chamber will provide entertainment, food trucks and the sale of beer and wine to the public, and
Whereas, the Chamber is requesting the closure of Violet Avenue between Hwy 59 and Chicago Street.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama , as follows:
Section 1: Approves waiving the fees for the use of Heritage Park and Pavilion requested by the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation for the Annual BBQ & Blues Cook-Off Fundraising Event.
Section 2: Approves the use of entertainment, food trucks, and the sale of beer and wine in Heritage Park.
Section 3: Approves the closure of Violet Avenue between Hwy 59 and Chicago Street.
Section 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption...
