The Fire Department provides rescue services for special events at Graham Creek Nature Preserve and other locations where terrain is an issue for equipment access. We have researched and found an ATV Rescue Cart that will enable us to use our existing ATV's to transport injured patients from remote and otherwise inaccessible areas. We are seeking to purchase a cart and stretcher from NAFECO for an amount not to exceed $4600, including shipping. This is a budgeted item in the Fire Ad Valorem Fund capital purchase account 02-600-7010 for $5000.

WHEREAS, the Foley Fire Department provides rescue services to Graham Creek Nature Preserve and other areas where terrain is an issue for equipment access, and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department has researched and found an ATV Rescue Cart and stretcher that will enable existing ATV's to transport injured patients from these areas, and
WHEREAS, this is a budgeted item in the Fire Ad Valorem Fund capital purchase account 02-600-7010 for $5000.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase of an All Terrain Res-Q Trailer (ATR-2 with Attendant's seat) and a Junkin Stretcher (JSA 200) from NAFECO in an amount not to exceed $4600.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
