      WHEREAS, Keith Smith is requesting financial support for assistance in publishing a book about Foley High School football through 1954, and
      WHEREAS, he has conducted interviews, as well as Rusty Piggot, with lester Smith , Thurston Adams and Jip Howell, and
      WHEREAS, he has researched scores and players of former Foley High School football teams, and
      WHEREAS, the cost to publish the book is $42.50 per hour and $6,500 ($13.00 each) for a minimum of 500 books.
 
      Now Therefore Be It Resolved by the Foley City Council as follows:
 
      SECTION 1:      Finds that it is a good and useful purpose of public funds to help in the publication of a book about Foley High School football teams.
 
      SECTION 2:      Approves the expenditure in the amount of $2,500 from Public Relations/Community Development Account No. 01-620-8110 contingent upon the creation of a Performance Contract to ensure completion of the project as part of Foley's Centennial Celebration.
