Sam Franklin and Sons are currently working on the Blue Collar Country site at a rate of $3,800 per acre. They are willing to clear the right-of-way extending west from the current Beck Road which runs along the north property line behind the City property for the Coastal Alabama Farmers and Fishermens Market to South Juniper Street at the same rate. The cost also includes chipping and hauling off merchantable material, grinding stumps into mulch piles that can be spread by the City on the top of the cleared right-of-way in order to stabilize the area until the City is ready to complete the road. Southern Destinations, LLC. will pay for the cost then bill the City for reimbursement.
