Body

WHEREAS, there is a vacant and budgeted Building Custodian position in the Municipal Complex Department that is no longer needed, and
WHEREAS, there is a need to create a part-time, permanent position of a Farmers Market Coordinator, and
WHEREAS, there is a need to convert the part-time, permanent position of Events Coordinator to a full-time, permanent position of Events Coordinator,
WHEREAS, the positions have been analyzed by The Archer Company and a pay grade of G-8 ($29,017 - $40,624 based on 2080 annual hours) is recommended for the Events Coordinator and a pay grade of G-11 ($35,103 - $49,144 based on 2080 annual hours) is being recommended for the Farmers Market Coordinator, and
WHEREAS, there are employees working in these positions currently and there is a desire to have these employees remain in these positions upon addition of the positions to the City’s Pay Classification Plan, and
WHEREAS, the vacant Building Custodian funds can be used to partially fund these two new positions.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes the deletion of one vacant Building Custodian in the City’s Pay Classification Plan.
