The orginal grant application was for $50,000 with a $50,000 required match. The amended grant would be to solely construct the outdoor classroom and learning stations at Graham Creek Preserve. The grant would be $50,000 with a $50,000 match of which $25,000 would be in kind services.

WHEREAS, the ADCNR, State Lands Division, Coastal Section, accepted applications
for 306A Coastal Access Grants in the Alabama Coastal Area for Fiscal Year 2014,
WHEREAS, the grant funds will be made available by the Office of Ocean and Coastal
Resource Management (OCRM) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
(NOAA) and administered by the ADCNR on a competitive basis, and
WHEREAS, the maximum award will be $50,000 and will require a 50/50 match funds,
which may consist of cash, materials, in-kind services or donations that support the project, and
WHEREAS, the deadline for applications was March 1, 2013, and amendments must be submitted
by October 1, 2013, and
WHEREAS, if granted the funds, the funds will be used for construction of an
outdoor classroom, play area, and six learning stations at Graham Creek Nature Preserve at a
cost of $100,000.
