Title
Amending the Pay Classification Plan to Accommodate Police Department Restructure
Summary
DESCRIPTION OF TOPIC: (who, what, when, where, why, and how much)
Deputy Chief is retiring in April 2015 and the Chief of Police desires to modify the structure of the current command staff. The restructure will consist of deleting the current Deputy Chief position and deleting one Commander position. The deletion of these positions will help fund the creation of two Captain positions with the exception of a $8,511.37 shortfall. However, we feel that vacancies occuring throughout the year will generate sufficient surplus to cover this shortfall. We will keep an eye on the budget to monitor this closely.
