A Resolution Accepting Donation of a Police Canine
Summary
Carlos Lizarraga, owner of Gulf Coast K9, would like to donate one dual purpose Dutch shepherd canine to the City of Foley Police Department. The canine being donated is identified as, Jarek - Microchip # 528 224 001 175 380.
Value of the canine including inclusive training is $14,500.00. Once transferred, all care, health, deployment and handling of the canine will be the sole responsibility of the City of Foley Police Department. Gulf Coast Canine provides no warranties, refunds, or returns and the transfer of the dog is acknowledged by the City of Foley Police Department as, as-is. A contract with further details is attached. Once ownership of the canine is transferred to the City of Foley Police Department, Gulf Coast K9 will relinquish all ownership, rights, and obligations.

WHEREAS, Once transferred, all care, health, deployment and handling of the canine will be the sole responsibility of the City of Foley Police Department.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves and accepts the donation of (1) As- is dual purpose canine from Gulf Coast K9.
SECTION 2: Approves upon transfer that all care, health, deployment and handling of the canine will be the sole responsibility of the City of Foley Police Department with Gulf Coast K9 relinquishing all ownership,
rights, and obligations.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
