WHEREAS, the Parks Department has budgeted $8,000 for two (2) 72" commercial side discharge mower decks in Account #01-611-7010, and,
WHEREAS, The State of Alabama Department of Examiners of Public Accounts has approved the purchase of items bid by the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA), and,
WHEREAS, John Deere has been awarded a contract by NJPA which includes the mower deck model that is needed.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1:      Approves the purchase of two (2) John Deere 72" 7-Iron II commercial side discharge mower decks as budgeted in Account #01-611-7010 from John Deere Company through Foley Implement Company, Inc. utilizing John Deere's NJPA contract (NJPA 081209) in the amount of $3,685.99 each for a total of $7,371.98.
SECTION 2:      This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
