WHEREAS, in response to the April 28-30, 2014 storm event, the Alabama Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) will be accepting applications for eligible projects to be funded through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP), and
WHEREAS, the City of Foley desires to apply for HMGP funds for the construction of a dual-purpose First Responders Hurricane Safe Room, and
WHEREAS, Lehe Planning, LLC has submitted a proposal for providing services required for developing the application on behalf of the City of Foley to secure FEMA HMGP funds for said project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the proposal and signing the agreement with Lehe Planning, LLC to provide services required for securing FEMA HMGP funds for the dual-purpose First Responders Safe Room, amending Account No. 12-665-7342 R18 PROF up to $7,000 for professional fees and out of pocket expense accordingly.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
