WHEREAS, under 25-1319-RES, the Nature Parks Department requested permission to apply to ADECA's Recreational Trails Program Grant in order to build an elevated fully ADA accessible boardwalk with an observation deck at Wolf Creek Park, and
WHEREAS, the figures provided under 25-1319-RES were estimates, but the granting agency has requested that the resolution be amended to match the dollar amounts requested in the grant, and
WHEREAS, the grant is an 80/20 split, and
WHEREAS, The total project cost is $204,525 and if awarded, the grant will cover $163,620 and the city would be responsible for $40,905.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the grant application to ADECA's Recreational Trails Program and approves the $40,905 in required matching City funds if the grant is awarded.
SECTION 2: Council authorizes Mayor and other City officials to sign the application and other documents required to submit the grant application.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
