A Resolution Approving Application for the FY2020 IMLS CARES Act Grant for Museums and Libraries
Summary
Foley Public Library & the Depot Museum requests permission to jointly apply for the FY2020 Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) CARES Act Grant for Museums and Libraries. IMLS is current accepting applications until June 12, 2020. If approved, the funds would be used to support the role of museums and libraries in responding to the coronavirus pandemic in ways that meet the immediate and future COVID-19 needs of the communities and audiences they serve. The project will request 100% funding, but the application may offer in-kind services as a source of potential matching funds. Awards are anticipated to be announced in August 2020 with project funding starting in September 2020. This project would be funded under the FY21 budget if awarded.
