Summary
The City of Foley has adopted Resolution No. 21-1243, supporting the Baldwin County Material Recovery Facility. The City of Foley, along with the cities of Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and other municipalities in Baldwin County, are working with Baldwin County Solid Waste as the lead local agency to expedite the critical need to maximize our recycling efficiency and commodity value through a cooperative effort. The City of Foley intends to work jointly with Orange Beach and Gulf Shores to apply for grant funding under the Alabama Recycling Fund in support of the Baldwin County Material Recovery Facility with Gulf Shores taking the role as the lead applicant. Total grant to be requested $350,000 with no match required.
