Summary
The Parks and Recreation Department budgeted $84,000 for a SUV and a truck in the FY25 budget. Recently, an existing 4x4 Ford F-150 was involved in an accident and the insurance company deemed it a total loss. The council previously approved permission to accept the money from the insurance company and go to bid for an SUV. We are now asking permission to go to bid and purchase two trucks to replace two older existing trucks. We believe the total cost of these purchases should not exceed $94,000. We budgeted $84,000 for two new vehicles, but we are not requesting additional funding and plan to use previous savings on other capital purchases to make up the difference.
