Body

                         WHEREAS, the City of Foley Historical Commission supports the Places In Peril application to the State Historical Commission, and;

 

                     WHEREAS, the City of Foley accepted the donation of the Hamburg Building via Resolution #17-1338 and is now the owner, and;

 

                     WHEREAS, the Places in Peril nomination is to provide exposure to the building to potentially encourage rehabilitation.  The Alabama Heritage magazine will feature an article on chosen properties and it would be promoted through the State Historical Commission website and the Alabama Trust.

 

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

     SECTION 1:     Grants permission to the City of Foley Historical Commission to complete the Places in Peril application.

 

     SECTION 2:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
