A Resolution to Waive the Fees for the Use of Council Chambers or the Foley Civic Center

WHEREAS, Representatives Donna Givens, Jennifer Fidler and Francis Holk-Jones are requesting the use of the Council Chambers or the Foley Civic Center on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 for the Empower Yourself presentation hosted by the Baldwin County Legislative Delegation and the Better Business Bureau, and
WHEREAS, this presentation will help members of the public to recognize and avoid fraud, and
WHEREAS, the Baldwin County Legislative Delegation and the Better Business Bureau are requesting the fees for the use of the Council Chambers or the Civic Center to be waived for this event.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Waives the fees for the use of the Foley Civic Center on January 24, 2024 if food will be provided.
SECTION 2: Waives the fees for the use of the Council Chambers on January 24, 2024 if food will not be provided.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
