WHEREAS, disc golf at Graham Creek Preserve is a growing sport with small tournaments scheduled year round, and
WHEREAS, a championship course would enable the Preserve to host national level tournaments using both courses, and
WHEREAS, Eric McCabe, world champion disc golfer, has proposed designing a course and providing 19 total baskets at a cost of $13,500.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the appropriation of $13,500 to Account No. 12-665-7358 R24 DESIGN for Eric McCabe to design a champion disc golf course and provide 19 baskets at Graham Creek Nature Preserve.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
