Approval requested by the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce to hold a one day festival and serve alcohol in the streets of Historic Downtown Foley on Saturday, October 7, 2017.
The Chamber also requests closure of Orange Avenue between South Baldwin Family Practice place of business to the west and Hwy 59 to the east, Alston Avenue from Hwy 98 to the north and then south to Verbena Avenue, just north of the intersection, beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2017 until 12:00 a.m. Sunday, October 8, 2017.
The Chamber also requests approval to allow merchants in the Downtown Foley Historic District to bring their merchandise outdoors onto City sidewalks and festival designated public parking areas; assistance from the Foley Police Department with placement of barricades, use and placement of picnic tables and trash receptacles and placement of signage that will be provided by the Chamber.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce's request to hold a one day festival, the Alabama Festival of Flavor on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 12:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.
SECTION 2: Approves the serving of alcoholic beverages in a non-corralled designated area based upon ABC Board approval.
SECTION 3: Approves the temporary road closures of downtown Foley for the Festival of Flavor beginning at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, October 6, 2017 until 12:00 A.M. on Sunday, October 8, 2017 for the following streets: Orange Avenue between South Baldwin Family Practice place of business to the west and Hwy 59 to the east, Alston Avenue from Hwy 98 to the north and then south to Verbena Avenue, just north of the intersection
