WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted a public hearing Monday, August 19, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. to hear objections and other public comment on the matter of declaring the growth of weeds, grass and other vegetative growth on the property located at 528 Verbena Loop, Tax Parcel No.05-54-08-28-3-000-088.028, City of Foley, a public nuisance as provided in the State of Alabama Code.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Foley, meeting this 19th day of August, 2013 that the condition of the property described in this resolution is declared a public nuisance and the abatement of this public nuisance is hereby ordered.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that City forces and/or contractors the City may hire are ordered to enter upon the property for the purpose of abating the public nuisance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a complete record of the cost of abating the nuisance shall be kept and a total cost shall be rendered to the City Council at a meeting following the work. The itemized cost will be posted on the Council Chamber doors at least five days before the report is rendered. The Council shall take action to immediately collect or establish a lien against the property as prescribed in the State of Alabama Code.
