WHEREAS, the FY14 Budget, adopted on September 3, 2013, included a policy on FY14 Merit Raises and a policy on "GAP" Days (personal leave), and
WHEREAS, a minor amendment needs to be made to the Merit Raise Policy to adjust the percentage brackets. The amendment has no financial impact on the budget, and
WHEREAS, a minor amendment needs to be made to the "GAP" day (personal leave) policy to state that accrued personal leave hours will not be paid out if/when the employee retires or terminates employment.  
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1:       Amends the Merit Raise Policy percentage brackets (as reflected on the attached corrected policy).
SECTION 2:      Amends the "GAP" day policy (as reflected on the attached corrected policy) to state that accrued personal leave hours will not be paid out if/when the employee retires or terminates employment.
SECTION 3:      No budget adjustment is needed or being requested for this action.
SECTION 4:      This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
