During the Council meeting of February 16, 2015, Council approved Resolution 15-2064 appropriating up to $50,000 for dirt work in relation to the new 5-Plex. Resolution 15-2064 erroneously associated the dirt work with the new 5-Plex project. The dirt has no value but needs to be removed. David Thompson is requesting to amend the prior resolution since this action is not associated with the 5-Plex construction project and to appropriate up to $32, 000 to an expense account. Therefore, Resolution 15-2064 must be amended.

WHEREAS, Council approved Resolution 15-2064 Permission to appropriate funds for dirt work in relation to the new 5-Plex during its regular session on February 16, 2015, and
WHEREAS, Resolution 15-2064 erroneously associates the dirt work with the 5-Plex construction project, and
WHEREAS, staff recommends to move the dirt work to an expense account and to appropriate up to $32, 000 for the removal of the dirt.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Amends Resolution 15-2064 to record the cost of the dirt work as Park Maintenance expense and to appropriate $32,000 to Account No. 01-622-4030 Park/Field/Pool Maintenance in support of this action.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
