WHEREAS, a parcel located on Bender Road and described as Lot 1 of the Foley Beach Express West Industrial Park, Phase I is to be sold to the Utilities Board of the City of Foley, Alabama, as an easement, and
WHEREAS, the cost breakdown is 3.38 acre easements at $10,000.00 per acre, totaling $33,800.00 for these easements; and, a two (2) acre parcel at $20,000.00 per acre, totaling $40,000.00. These two amounts equal to sale amount of $73,800.00
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: It is hereby found, established and declared that 2 acres of real property owned by the City of Foley, Alabama, which is described below, is no longer needed for public or municipal purposes, to wit:
Lot 1, Foley Beach Express West Industrial Park, Phase I
SECTION 2: It is hereby found, established and declared that the Utilities Board of the City of Foley, Alabama, which desires to acquire said real property for the purposes of an utilities easement, will serve a public purpose and will serve the best i...
