A Resolution to Consider an Additional One-Time Payment to the Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts Support Services
Summary
The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts Support Services of South Baldwin were approved for a FY21 City of Foley performance contract for $1,500. Council has been asked to consider a request to approve an additional one-time payment of $3,500. This past year, COVID has substantially limited what the scouts were able to do in terms of fundraising. As a result, the scouts are having difficulty funding the summer camp for their troops. This donation will help to fund the cost of camp for the kids in the program.

WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts Support Services of South Baldwin were approved for a FY21 City of Foley performance contract in the amount of $1,500, and
WHEREAS, this past year COVID substantially limited what the scouts were able to do in terms of fundraising, and
WHEREAS, Council has been asked to consider a request to approve an additional one-time performance contract increase of $3,500.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves an additional one-time payment of $3,500 to the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts Support Services in April 2021.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
