Vacancies on the Planning Commission and Historical Commission. Barbara Beam has submitted a letter of resignation from the Planning Commission. Lewis Newlan passed away leaving a position open on the Historical Commission.
Body
WHEREAS, the State of Alabama Ethics Commission says that public officials/board members fall under the State Ethics Law, and therefore should have the opportunity to educate themselves regarding this law, and
WHEREAS, all newly appointed or reappointed board members must submit a copy of their training certification to the City of Foley as a condition to being appointed/reappointed to the boards.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Appoints __________________ to the Planning Commission beginning October 15, 2012 and ending October 15, 2018 based on the conditions that he/she submits a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.
SECTION 2: Appoints __________________ to the Historical Commission beginning October 15, 2012 and ending October 15, 2015 based on the conditions that he/she submits a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
