Body

WHEREAS, The Public Works Superintendent desires to restructure positions in the Street Department, and
WHEREAS, One of the two existing Crew Leader/Equipment Operator III positions has become vacant due to a recent retirement and there is a desire to convert the vacant position to an Equipment Operator II position, and, to convert the other position to a Street Maintenance Supervisor position with the employee currently serving in that position to remain in the position upon conversation, and
WHEREAS, This action would save the Street Department approximately $13,381 annually.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes converting the two existing Crew Leader/Equipment Operator III positions in the Pay Classification Plan to one Equipment Operator II position and one Street Maintenance Supervisor position.
SECTION 2: Authorizes employee #01-0144 to remain in the new position title of Street Maintenance Supervisor upon it's conversion, effective with Pay Period Beginning September 23, 2014.
