The State of Alabama Ethics Commission says that public officials/board members fall under the State Ethics Law, and therefore should have the opportunity to educate themselves regarding this law and has recently developed an online video training of the Alabama Ethics Law, which can be accessed at their website at www.ethics.alabama.gov. All newly appointed and reappointed board members must submit a copy of their training certification to the City of Foley as a condition to being appointed/reappointed to the boards.
Mayor John Koniar appointed _________ to fill the vacant seat on the Planning Commission that will be left by Tom Debell, whose term of office expires on October 4, 2016. _____ is appointed to fill Tom DeBell's position beginning on October 5, 2016 and his/her term of office will expire on October 6, 2022 based on the conditions that he/she submit a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.
