WHEREAS, Lightning Aviation, Inc. leases the Foley Municipal Airport facilities and serves as the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) for a monthly fee of $500.00 and,
WHEREAS, an airport improvement project is underway that will shut the airport down for a period of seventeen days, more or less depending upon the weather, and,
WHEREAS, this shut down will cause Lightning Aviation, Inc. a considerable loss of income and additional expense.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: As a one time show of good faith, waives Lightning Aviation Inc.'s $500 lease payment for the month of March 2014.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
