On February 15, 2016 Council approved the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce's requests to hold a three day 2016 Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival at the Foley Sportsplex on May 6-8, 2016 and to serve alcoholic beverages in a non-corralled designated area. The actual license needs to be approved.
